4-H Needs Sewing Volunteers!!
Volunteers are needed to help 14 young girls with garment construction. They are working toward a 4-H judging exhibit. These young girls are experienced with their machines and bring their own. This is the first time they have worked with garment construction however. We have been ask if we have volunteers who could come to the University of Florida Extension Center (3695 Lake Drive, Cocoa) from 4 pm to 6 pm on January 18, February 1 and 15, and March 7 to work with these future sewers and hopefully ASG members.

ASG Creativity Contest -- ANYONE CAN WIN!
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Simplicity ASG pattern collection. To celebrate, we’ve created a special “Anyone Can Win” event open only to ASG members and anyone age 18 and under who is sponsored by an ASG member. (Open to U.S. residents only.)

The Titusville Space Coast Chapter of the American Sewing Guild invites anyone who has an interest in sewing to join us.
Currently, we have approximately 150 members and 5 active neighborhood groups. We have Chapter meetings through out the year in addition to monthly neighborhood group meetings. Our Chapter's newsletter is called "Shuttles & Bobbins" and is distributed 4 times a year. Several times a year, we have well known people in the sewing field come and do special programs for us.
Our members participate in various community services projects.
We also sponsor sewing classes at Whispering Hills that are fun for one and all from beginners to seasoned sewers.

The 2012 ASG Chapter events will include fun activities strategically placed throughout the chapter areas. Special attention has been made to include several inexpensive adventures, things to do throughout the catchment area which will cut down on travel time and expense, tried and true activities that we all enjoyed in the past, a touch of the unexpected (surprise, surprise), and a national educator who really is spectacular!!! Several of us have taken a class with Rami Kim (national educator) at the conferences and have been completely amazed at her techniques. Please plan on joining us for fun, learning, and friendship.
